Since being founded in 2003 Home Automation Europe has tried to remedy the inadequate integration of systems and disciplines, by developing products and services which contain state-of-the-art technology as well as strong attention on its users. This has resulted in “easy to use” affordable technology, either white labeled or co-branded. Universal board computer for homes The first product released, in 2005, was the Home Control Box, a universal board computer for homes that is now included in the portfolio of major manufacturers of electro-technical material: Eaton, Moeller and Peha. Internet based database- and portal applications In addition to the user-friendly software that controls and manages technical “sub-systems” in homes, Home Automation Europe has developed Internet based database- and portal applications that support service providers in the industry, and allows the inhabitant to have remote interaction with its home or be alerted by it. Energy conservation From the first pilot-projects onwards Home Automation Europe has demonstrated the opportunities home automation technology offers for energy conservation, an area where innovation is required as much to make energy-efficient homes as to increase awareness and assist the tenants in changing habits. PowerPlayer and heating management Our products, such as the PowerPlayer and our heating management solution, are currently being rolled-out in cooperation with partners in The Netherlands. Research conducted in these utility-backed projects will validate the potential energy-conservation these solutions can bring to our society. We believe that our products can only assist in reducing energy-consumption if at the same time they increase one’s living comfort. Besides software development our current product development efforts therefore focus as much on design and user-interaction. |
